The article talks about how local Maryland brewers, specifically in Frederick County, are looking to keep the majority of their ingredients from local sources. Brewers want to buy and use local hops, yeast and grain but currently the supply can't keep up with the demand. While Milkhouse Brewery keeps 90% of their ingredients local, other Frederick County breweries outsource some of their main ingredients from all over the world. But no matter where brewers buy their ingredients, the farmers and brewers interviewed did agree that the craft beer scene countywide doesn’t appear to be slowing down, especially in Frederick.
