Surviving and Thriving During the COVID-19 Pandemic (VIDEO!)

Mythic Landing Enterprises partnered with Major League Eventing to bring a panel of equestrian business experts together to help answer questions about surviving and thriving during the COVID19 Pandemic. We hope this informative video helps answer some questions you may have during these unprecedented times.

Courtney Cooper, C Square Farm & Excel Star Sporthorses

Courtney is a 5-star eventer who currently operates two successful businesses out of her farms in Nottingham, Pennsylvania and Aiken, South Carolina. C Square Farm offers training and lessons for horses and riders of all levels, as well as domestic and consignment sales. Excel Star Sporthorses focuses on the import and sales of elite European horses for both the professional and amateur rider. Over the past 3 years, the two businesses have sold over 160 horses for over $4 million. Prior to her career in equestrian sports, Courtney graduated from Rice University with a degree in Managerial Studies and Psychology. She went on to build a successful insurance practice with Northwestern Mutual, achieving Million Dollar Round Table status.

Margaret Rizzo McKelvy, Mythic Landing Enterprises

Margaret’s diverse work background has allowed her to use her skills in public relations, event planning and business development to build MLE from the ground up. What started as a “one woman show” in her studio apartment has grown to a team of six professionals, working together to not only build a better business, but more importantly to build better businesses for MLE's clients. Part of her business' mission is simply, "We're here for you." And she means it. No project is too big or too small, and every client is treated as if they are MLE's only client. Margaret is active in the Maryland equestrian community, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Fund for Horses.

Pam Saul, Saul Bookkeeping

Pam is a Certified Bookkeeper with the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She has over 30 years of experience with bookkeeping and works from her home office in Maryland. Having run her family’s Rolling Acres Farm for countless years, Pam branched out when she realized the need for knowledgeable and skilled bookkeeping services in the agricultural and equine industries. Pam has been deeply involved in the agricultural industry for many years and serves on many boards and organizations, including the Montgomery County Soil Conservation District and Maryland Agricultural & Resource-Based Industry Development Corp. This experience gives Pam a unique perspective on the pulse of current agricultural/equine business trends and services in the agricultural and equine industries.
