Educational & Fun Purina HOW Workshop for MLE Client Meghan Truppner!

This past weekend, MLE client & USDF Silver Medalist Meghan Truppner, teamed up for a Purina HOW event hosted by Bowman Feed and Pet on Saturday afternoon to discuss seeking out stomach solutions for horses with gastric stress, ulcers and other complications from it.

Phil Grout / For Carroll County Times
"The workshop — at Karmic Run Stables in Woodbine — offered education, door prizes, refreshments, and free gifts to attendees. Those who turned out said they wanted to learn how to keep their equines happy, healthy and comfortable in the show ring (Carroll County Times)."

We are so happy for Meghan and everyone else who attended this great event! Be sure to take a look at the full article from the Carroll County Times here to learn more about how Purina spent six years of research in coming up with their latest gastric care product for horses.

Office Pets Can Boost Productivity!

How many people work from home and get to take short breaks to snuggle their pets regularly throughout the day? If you are a work-from-homer you know for a fact that having pets around is no doubt a major benefit. But what about those who are in a more traditional office setting?  Nowadays, it's no longer such an outlandish idea to have a pet in the office and more and more businesses are opening up to the ideas of pets in the office. Why is this?
"According to Marie-José Enders, who studies the relationship between animals and humans at the Open University, office pets can help lower cortisol levels. The researcher also explained that people with dogs are perceived as friendlier, so having an office pet may help improve your relationships with your colleagues too (Businessinsider.com)."

She also mentions how "If your boss is giving you a hard time, a dog can make it easier to put certain situations into perspective. You can just take a bit of space and walk the dog," said Enders. "An animal at work makes people more motivated — they like their work more and they experience less stress (businessinsider.com)."
