1. Live on premises handyman with horse husbandry experience.
Reliable worker to perform both as a stable hand and with maintenance work as-needed. Job duties to include: general daily horse care: turning in/out, feeding, stalls, some grooming, assisting in keeping stables tidy, etc. Maintenance around the grounds to include: splitting firewood, weed-wacking, bush-hogging, delivering round bales, maintaining fencing + grounds, plowing/shoveling snow, basic maintenance on farm machinery, basic general handyman skills. etc. Proficient in both safe operating and basic maintenance of various large tractors. Housing is on-site. Must be a self-starter, have strong organization skills, time efficient, be comfortable & have experience working around horses in stable care and work independently under direction. Pay is subject to experience. This is a live on premises position for 6 days/week. Looking for long term employment applicants only. $500/week with housing and utilities dependent on skill level. Four-star rider Courtney Cooper and her C Square Farm are looking for a committed individual to join the team starting in January! This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to dramatically improve their riding and become a well-rounded horse person in all aspects of the industry.
Accepted working students will receive expert instruction from a 4**** rider and will gain insight into many facets of the equine industry including breeding sport horses, running a successful sales business, and competing and training at all levels through FEI.
Working students receive board for one horse and housing in a spectacular new apartment on the farm. Your own horse is not required though, as we have plenty to ride here.
