January 22nd - Maryland Horse Council Quarterly Meeting
Looking to get more involved in the equestrian community? Established in 1985, the Maryland Horse Council (MHC) seeks to unify, inform, and represent Maryland’s diverse horse community. As the industry’s state legislative representative and trade association, MHC protects and promotes the horse industry by providing a united voice in the Maryland state legislature and state agencies, by interacting with the media and the general public, and by keeping its members informed on issues that affect them and their horses. The meeting will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. You do not need to be a member to attend! Click HERE to RSVP!

Congratulations To Linder Educational Coaching!

MLE would like to congratulate client, Kristin Carpenter, owner of Linder Educational Coaching for being voted best tutoring service 2016 in all the Nova/DC region by Arlington Magazine! Linder Educational Coaching provides a comprehensive answer to families with students. They provide three main areas of service: private coaching, an after school program called The Hub, and workshops. In all of these areas Linder Educational Coaching focuses on organization, planning for the week and month, study skills, test-taking skills, subject comprehension, and independence. For many families, this is a welcome answer to the stress school has brought into the home. Their coaches talk with teachers to make sure their methods are effective and to gain an understanding of each child in and out of the classroom. They work closely with the parents to structure a study system that works in their home and with their family schedule. Every week, Linder Educational Coaching works to assure all homework is done, tests are prepared for, and material is understood.

Saturday, December 12th - Sean McQuillan Clinic at Miran Farm
Join Sean for a day of dressage and show jumping lessons in the beautiful indoor arena at Miran Farm in Aldie, Virginia! This is the perfect time to work on fine tuning your skills so that you and your horse can tackle the spring season with confidence! Don't worry if you haven't spent as much time in the saddle as you would like during this busy holiday season, Sean will be sure to tailor your lesson to both you and your horse's fitness needs. Small group lessons are $70 and private lessons are $75. If you need to rent a stall for the day, not a problem! Stall rentals are $20/day. Proof of a negative coggins is required. Wednesday, December 16th - Susan Graham White at A Bit Better Farm
Susan Graham White will be back at A Bit Better Farm in Brookeville, MD on Wednesday to teach private dressage lessons. Susan is a licensed judge, so if you want, bring your dressage test to have a fix-a-test type lesson! Lessons typically start around noon and go into the evening, so there are usually multiple slots available for the after school/work folks. Lessons are $130 for a 45-minute private lesson.
