Summer Tips for Small Business Owners

While summer is in full-swing and people are venturing more outside, for some businesses summer is the busiest time of year. For others, it can be the slow season. No matter how your business is adapting to this year's summer, there are a few tips business owners can take advantage of to expand & grow! Thanks to an article from Leanne Kinnis of Constant Contact, here are a few ideas to get you started:

1.) Snap away with pictures! If your business is one who is operating this summer, even if not at full capacity, take photos and encourage customers to take photos and share them with a hashtag unique to your company!

2.) Discover something new! If you have been wanting to try out a new social media platform, learn web development or try a new product line for your business, summer can be a great time to dive in and learn more!

3.) Boost your website and social media! If summer is a slower season for you take this time to re-vamp and boost your website and social media channels. Come up with a content plan for the next few weeks and be flexible to changing things up!

4.) Grow your email and contact list! Summer is a great time to grow your email list, especially if the summer months are the busiest of the year. With a higher volume of online sales, now is the time to build your lists!

5.) Take advantage of reviews! It's never the wrong time to ask past clients for referrals and reviews. Word of mouth is still the primary source of new business for most industries, so take advantage!
