Great Results at Carolina International!

Courtney Cooper with Who's A Star
at an event last year.
A bunch of the MLE riders were out competing at the inaugural Carolina International CIC & Horse Trials. We had some top finishes including:

Will Faudree WON the CIC1* with Riesling De Buissy!  He also finished 3rd in the same division with Pfun!  Both of these rising stars are owned by Sterling Silver Stables' Jennifer Mosing.

Courtney Cooper and her homebred Who's A Star (aka "Tag") were 6th in a huge Advanced division! Look for this pair to tackle a CCI3* this spring!

Katie Wherley competed in her first horse trials since having her son Niko at the beginning of January. She took her Advanced horse Mr. Indiscretion in an Open Preliminary division to stretch their legs and came away with a 6th place ribbon!  Next up for them in the CIC2* at The Fork!

Finally, Southwind Farm's Sheri Thornley finished 3rd in a big Open Training division aboard her own homebred Azari!

Stephen Bradley is Back! Clinic on Wednesday, April 16th!

Stephen is making his migration back north and will be back at A Bit Better Farm (Brookeville, MD) on Wednesday, April 16th.

Small group lessons (no more than 3 people) are $115 each.  A limited number of private dressage lessons are available, and are $155 each. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

We typically start around 11am and go until we're done, but he will teach until 7pm, so we always have one or two groups for the "after work and school" crowd.  :-)

Please let me know if you'd like to reserve a slot (or two) now. Simply e-mail me at margaret@mythiclanding.com.

Stephen enjoys teaching all levels of riders from beginners to the advanced competitor. His enthusiasm, talent for communication, and ability to inspire confidence in the horse and rider make him a hit with riders of all levels. When training with Stephen, you can be confident that you will receive expert instruction for your level of riding. You can learn more about Stephen at www.stephensbradley.com.

New! C.O.R.E. Rider Clinic!

One of Mythic Landing’s clients, Playland Farm, is doing something for the first time that we are really excited about and want to share! They are hosting a C.O.R.E. Rider clinic on Saturday, March 22nd.  C.O.R.E. Rider is a program that Playland’s owner and resident trainer, Glenda Player, has been working towards for many years now, including multiple trips to Bad Tolz, Germany each year for proper certification.

So, you may be wondering, what exactly is C.O.R.E. Rider? CORE Rider is an acronym for Centered, Organized, Responsive, Effective riding. Through this method one learns how to use aids in a clearer, more organized and effective manner, thus developing a responsive, balanced horse. The method assists in learning a clearer sense of awareness of one’s own movements and use of self. In the process, the method promotes ease of movement, coordination, and flexibility. At the heart of the CORE Rider method is teaching oneself a greater awareness of his/her own movement. CORE Riding is about learning stability and balance through alignment.

The clinic will be broken up into two parts: an un-mounted group session and then mounted small group lessons afterwards. This format allows for riders to work on themselves and their body in the morning session without having to worry about their horse. Then, once they have the basics down, they will take what they learn in the morning and apply it while mounted in the small group riding lesson.

For more information you can visit, www.playlandequestriancenter.com, OR, to sign up for the clinic you can email Erinn Murphy at: emurphy@arbee.net
